With their unique security advantages, the Küffner finger protection frames are especially suited for Kindergartens, but also for homes for people with disabilities. Owing in particular to the frame form as well as the counter-brackets mounted in ball bearings the band edge of the door leaf always swivels at an equal distance to the counter-brackets evenly when opening and closing. The result is that the jamming or even shearing off of a child’s finger, for example, is ruled out. A no less simple, but also ingenious solution, which can be delivered by Küffner as accessory or as complete element.

| The door leaf revolves on the counter-brackets.Through the special frame form, the band edge of the door leaf consistently turns at an equal distance of c. 3 mm around the counter-brackets when opening or closing. The result is that the jamming or even shearing off of a child’s finger, for example, is ruled out. By law – Child-care Services BG/GU-SR-S2, from April 2009, such construction for the protection of children is required. | |
| Door leaf with finger protection seal.So as to additionally secure the impact region of the door leaf to the frame, Küffner developed a finger protection door edge. A special synthetic hollow profile is integrated on the edge of the wooden or synthetic door leaf (wet or moisture-proof door). When closing the door, the finger protection seal strikes against frame seal profile with a muffled sound and, due to its flexibility, prevents (children’s) fingers from being jammed or crushed. | |
| Edge radii surpass the DGUV requirementswith edge radii from c. 8mm, the finger protection frame is suitable for application in schools, Kindergartens, nursing homes and swimming baths. The stipulations of the DGUV [German Accident Insurance] are thus met.

| Integrated finger protective strip.Through the ball bearing mounted hinges integrated into the frame, the band edge of the door leaf swivels at a consistently even distance of 2-3 mm around the counter-brackets. At the same time, no edge bands or hinges project on the frame, such that the danger of injury can likewise be ruled out.
