CHORWO

Not only the aspect of design was at the center of CHORWO’s development, but also simple and faultless mounting. The secret is in the lower rib/Unterzarge subframe.

The Procedure:

1. Preface
The CHORWO is ideally suited to be mounted on all designs of wall from a width of 750 mm and a total wall thickness of at least 62 mm. We suggest, even in the case of new buildings or in the planning phase, to account for the recommended ideal dimension of 940 mm width.

2. The measurement of the CHORWO lower rib
CHORWO should be undertaken already in the shell. The top of finished flooring (TFF) is not yet relevant for measurement. The CHORWO is completely wall-flush, and the measurement of the lower rib is carried out already prior to plastering work (in the case of drywall construction, prior to the cladding).

3. Supply/mounting of the lower rib
Ideally, the CHORWO lower rib should be mounted in the brickwork phase. For the lower rib to be mounted without a mistake, for the purposes convenience fixed or variable cross braces are also delivered. These cross braces should not be removed until the final screw connections. The fastening is carried out with the installation brackets by a screw in the front and, from the side, in the soffit. Once the lower rib is firm, you can remove the cross braces. The bracket for the cross braces should also be unscrewed afterwards.

4. Plastering the lower rib
Visible plaster remains on the lower rib both in front as well as to the side, which serves to remove the plaster. In the case of plastering, it is especially important that the soffit does not converge conically at the back, since otherwise the main frame cannot be pushed from the room side!

5. Painting work and flooring
After the lower rib has been fitted, all subsequent work – for example, painting and flooring – can begin. As soon as the flooring has been completed, a precise measurement of the ceiling frames and the door leafs can be carried out, and so that the CHORWO door element can be precisely m atched to the structural conditions. Once the floor thickness has been precisely defined, the amount of screed can also already be carried out.

6. Mounting of ceiling frames and door leaves
To begin with, the ceiling frames are pushed through the soffit to the lower rib. After the ceiling frame has been aligned, this is then invisibly screwed together with the lower rib, behind the sealing and through the mounted hinges. The door leaf is hung afterwards and the door with handle is mounted.

7. Closing the expansion joint; painting once again where necessary
The lower rib not only guarantees a tailor-made mounting, but also an absolute wall-flush and crack-free system. Only a minor joint between lower rib and ceiling frame must be elastically closed by the painter (e. g. with acrylic) and matched to the wall surface.
