Design

Design is the process through which almost all objects that surround us are given a particular form and function, whether it be a building shell, a ballpoint pen, a piece of clothing or a doorframe.

Good design not only describes the form of an object, but is also responsible for its function. Various aspects converge in the development process, such as technology, materials, construction, ergonomics, aesthetics, ecology and economy. It is finding the balance between these different demands which ultimately leads to a good design.
